EZ4x4

I reviewed several Jeep top lifts for my 2025 Wrangler 2 door Sport. One Jeep forum user stated he had bought 3 different brands and the EZ-4x4 Lift was the most secure with the top stored on it. I found it to be easy to assemble (it took me 2 hours) and very stable. It works extremely well and is very easy to use.

Easy to put together. Works perfect to take the back top off of 2025 Bronco.

This is a well designed trunk for the Wrangler JLU. The fit and finish is high quality, and the parts fit the Jeep perfectly. This provides security when the hard top is off, or if you have a soft top and want extra protection for your items. I was impressed with the product.

To be honest, I was a bit less impressed with the instructions. There have been updates to some of the parts (which is great), though they are not referenced in the video, and in a few places the instructions are not entirely clear. Still, it goes together pretty smoothly, and when done the fit and finish is of high quality. Just be patient, and don’t tighten everything down (except for the base attachments) until you have test fit everything.

Love the updated design that allows for the reinstallation of the tie down hooks, and perhaps one of these days the EZ 4x4 team will create a custom fit mat that works with this trunk. (Hint hint).

I’m glad I got the Extreme Trunk for the extra room.

I paired my order with the optional carpet kit, which is also of high quality. I didn’t get the referenced stackable discount by ordering both at the same time, however. Photos show one side with the optional carpet, and the other side before the optional carpet install.

Carpet is high quality and provides solid protection for the EZ Trunk Extreme. I didn’t know what to expect, though I was impressed overall.

There are 3 pieces for the foldable flat surfaces, and two for the sides.

Includes the 3M hook material for easy installation. Seems to be attached well to prevent lifting during high speeds.

A sense of adventure is required. There are no instructions, though to be fair, it’s pretty straightforward. Yet, they must anticipate a lesser need for attachment because I used twice as much 3M tape as was provided. I didn’t want to risk any carpet lifting while on the freeway, so I made sure it was attached well. I’d definitely recommend more, either provided by EZ 4x4 or picking up some extra for your installation. If you want to pick up more, the supplied product is 3M 9448A double coated tissue tape.

Just finished installing. Super easy. Seems very solid and functions perfectly. Just waiting on the rear fairing panel that I was missing. Customer service was great though. Rear panel is on its way.

Better than i thought it would be. Expensive for being a hinge but its simple to install and so far so good . Now i can get rid of the storage bag.

I installed the hinge very simple , I have a JLU and it has A different latch which is a spring latch holds the panel down good . Happy with how it works .

Extremely sturdy hard top removal system. It appears that they have made some upgrades to the product since the assembly instructions were made. Assembly took a bit but was able to figure them out. Can’t wait to try the lift this weekend on out TJ

Exactly what I was looking for something that made life so much easier I enjoy this. Every chance I get security the best I do not worry about them coming off water sealed awesome Car Wash no problem 80-90 miles an hour no problem. everyone asked me where I got them.EZflip

I absolutely love it. Take this project slowly and watch the videos. I put the roof rack together myself. My husband did the hardware kit as we helped each other. I am so happy with this. I will never do a best top ever again and keep this.

Pretty easy to install and worth it. Not removing the freedom panels is a great idea. Followed the video instructions and took about an hour. It only takes like a minute to flip up and put them down. Noice Job Guys.

I bought two of there and Love them they are well built!!!

My 10yo and I put this together in a couple hours. Fun/easy project. The finished product works great. No rattles or squeaks and the locks are robust. If you roll with your top off, it’s a must have.

The location pins work as advertised. Make your life easier and doors on/off less of a hassle!!

Really good product. Very well built with the welds and materials. Simple instructions and diagrams. Take your time for the first time setting up the doors and it only takes seconds after that time. I would buy it again.
